GTA Online / decision toolReviewed 12 September 2026

Can your progress move?

Choose the edition you play now and the edition you want next. The finder separates documented routes, explicit limits, and gaps the official sources do not resolve.

This tool does not sign in, inspect your account, predict eligibility, or determine whether two editions can play together.

Private, in-browser check

Select editions—not devices.

A PS4 edition running on a PS5 is still the PS4 edition. Xbox app on Windows is a PC context. If you do not know your edition, stop and verify it before using the result.

Your choices stay in this browser tab. Do not enter account names, email addresses, passwords, screenshots, or support-case details.

How to read the answer

Four honest outcomes.

Documented route

The route appears in current official guidance, with eligibility and asset-specific conditions still applying.

Explicitly unsupported

Rockstar’s reviewed guidance excludes this direction or platform combination.

Not documented

No supported route was established in the reviewed official sources. That is not rewritten as a universal technical impossibility.

Same edition

No edition migration is being requested. Device ownership alone does not prove account, access, or continuity.

Primary source set

Check the official page before acting.

Research boundary. The finder covers GTA Online profile migration. Story Mode transfer, account linking, subscription portability, ownership upgrades, and multiplayer compatibility require separate checks. Recheck Rockstar Support if an official page changes or this review date is no longer recent enough for your decision.

Independent fan publication

A route is not approval.

Rockstar alone determines whether a particular profile is eligible. Rockstar Updates cannot inspect, migrate, restore, or merge accounts and is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
